Ingredients:
Flour 3 cups
Baking Powder 2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Vegetable Shortening 4 tbsp
Water 1 Cup
Procedures:
1. Mix dry ingredients in a large bow. Add vegetable shortening and mix.
2. Add water a little at a time until the dough is soft but not sticky.
3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
4. Take dough and make 16 small dough balls. Cover with towel and let rest for about 15 minutes.
5. Warm a griddle/comal. It should be medium to hot.
6. Roll out a dough ball with a rolling pin.
7. Lay the tortilla on the hot griddle/comal for about 3 seconds to cook, flip to the other side another 3 seconds.
8. Lay the tortilla off the griddle and place on a towel for cool.
